D&W 11” Frying Pan Nonstick Skillet Quality Cookware Review

I’ve been through a lot of frying pans in my time. I’m not exactly sure why, but I just can’t seem to stick with one for very long. Maybe it’s because I like to try out new recipes all the time, or maybe it’s because I tend to be a bit rough on my cookware. But whatever the reason may be, I always find myself shopping for a new frying pan every few months.

That was, until I tried out the D&W 11” Frying Pan Nonstick Skillet. This skillet is made with quality materials and offers good heat distribution, which is perfect for cooking eggs or other delicate foods. Plus, the nonstick surface makes cleanup a breeze. I’ve been using this skillet for several months now, and it’s still going strong.

I’ve been using this pan for a while now, and I have to say that I’m really impressed. It heats up slowly, but it holds the heat evenly and cooks things perfectly. I’ve tried all sorts of recipes in it, from scrambled eggs to stir-frys, and everything has come out great. Plus, the nonstick surface makes cleanup a breeze. This is definitely my go-to pan now!

Be Sure Use Silicon Cooking Untensils with These Types of Cookware

Silicone utensils are non-scratch and won’t damage the non-stick coating. This makes them ideal for use on nonstick surfaces without causing damage. Furthermore, silicone cooking utensils are heat-resistant, so you can use them with confidence on the stovetop or in the oven. They are also non-reactive, which means that they won’t leach any harmful chemicals into your food.

If you’re in the market for a new frying pan, I highly recommend giving the D&W 11” Frying Pan Nonstick Skillet a try. It’s an excellent product that will make your cooking experience much easier and more enjoyable.

How to care for your D&W cookware products

D&W cookware is designed for years of trouble-free use. To ensure that your cookware retains its original beauty and cooking performance, follow these simple care and cleaning tips:

• Wash your cookware by hand using warm water and mild detergent. Avoid using harsh cleansers or scouring pads, as these can damage the finish of your cookware.

• After washing, rinse your cookware thoroughly and dry it with a soft cloth.

• If food sticks to your cookware, soak it in warm soapy water for a few minutes before washing.

• Never put your empty cookware on a hot burner or under a broiler. Doing so could damage the cookware’s finish.

• To avoid scratching the surface of your cookware, use only wooden or nylon utensils.

• Store your cookware in a cool, dry place. Avoid storing it in direct sunlight or in a damp environment, as this can cause the cookware to rust.

I’m Michael Barnes and I love what I do. Every day, I get to work with the land and help create something that is essential for life. But it’s not always easy. 1. If some of the enamel is scratched off, it will not hurt to use. The enamel is not what makes the pot or pan heat up, so there is no reason to be concerned about it being scratched.

  2. please tell me why my small Deane and White Saucepan stopped being Induction capable (as on the underneath sign.)
I only used it about 6 times when it suddenly ceased working on the induction.
The bottom if clean and free of anything.
    What can l do?

    Reply

  3. There could be a few reasons why your small Deane and White Saucepan stopped being Induction capable. One possibility is that the pan has a magnetic bottom, which is necessary for it to work with induction cooktops. If the bottom of your pan is not magnetic, then it won’t work with induction. Another possibility is that the pan is not compatible with your particular cooktop. Each induction cooktop has different wattage requirements, so it’s important to make sure that your pan is compatible with the wattage of your cooktop. It’s possible that there is something blocking the pan from making contact with the cooktop. Make sure that there is nothing on the cooktop or under the pan that could be preventing it from making a good connection.

  8. I have 2 Deane and White frying pans. I think both are 11″ (they aren’t marked). One has a black handle, and the other one has higher sides with a wood grain handle, and a grip on the opposite side of the handle. I just wanted to say that these are they BEST pans I’ve ever had. Have had Cuisinart, All Clad, and various others. These surpass them all. I came here to see if I could put them in the oven. I see that’s fine to 500, which makes them even better!

    1. You should stop using the cookware and contact the manufacturer. Some pans have a coating that can start to peel off when heated, and this may be what is happening in your case. The company may be able to replace the pans or send you a new set.

    1. It’s hard to tell which websites are selling actual D&W cookware and which ones are just making empty pages. The best way to order would be to find a retail store in your area that specializes in cooking supplies. Try looking up ‘Deane and White cookware’ on Google Maps.

  15. Look at TJ Maxx and Marshalls

    Reply

  16. I just returned a set of Deane and White frying pans to TJ Maxx. Upon closer inspection, the packaging only indicated the coating to be lead-free and made no claim about being free of PFOA & PTFE. The pans were marked down on clearance, and I could not tell how old they were, so I decided to play it safer and return them. After the return, I went to check the isle for alternatives, and I noticed they had added stock of Deane and White frying pans which did indicate PFOA or PTFE free on the packaging (only one was listed, and I can’t recall which one). Personally, I feel it is very challenging (impossible?) to track down a manufacturing website for this brand in order to truly get answers on what type of nonstick coating is used, so the answer to the above question of “chemical free” is dubious at best and depends on the labeling on the package. By the way, I am not sure who independently verifies the claims on the packaging.

  17. I just purchased the 4.2 Qt. 11 inch Low Casserole. The tag on the casserole states that it is not oven safe. The previous comments seem to indicate it is safe up to 500 degrees. What is correct?

    1. Cookware with a nonstick coating, such as frying pans and saucepans, is coated with a material called polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE), more commonly known as Teflon. Some people have concerns about the safety of Teflon, but it is generally considered safe for most people.

  19. Can Dutch ovens be used in microwave?

    Reply

    1. While Dutch ovens are typically used on the stovetop or in the oven, some models are safe to use in the microwave. Be sure to check the manufacturer’s instructions to see if your Dutch oven is microwave-safe. When using a Dutch oven in the microwave, it’s important to keep an eye on it and stop cooking if the food starts to dry out or burn.

  25. I received a mammoth 12 1/2 inch Dutch Oven for Christmas. I was planning on roasting one of our huge chickens in it, but it came with no instructions. I’m leery about putting the wood handles in our oven. We never roast above 350*F. Should we use it this way or return the gift?

    Reply

    1. It is generally safe to use cast iron cookware in the oven, including at high temperatures. However, it is important to be aware that the wooden handles on your Dutch oven may not be heat-resistant and could potentially become damaged if exposed to high heat for an extended period of time.

If you are unsure about using the pot in the oven or are concerned about the safety of the wooden handles, it might be a good idea to contact the manufacturer or retailer to ask for more information or guidance. Alternatively, you could consider using the pot on the stovetop or over a campfire, as it is likely intended for these types of cooking methods.

I have a glass top range and have never noticed anything like this before. I’m afraid to use it. Please advise.

  35. Is the stoneware non stick finish safe if scratched? I just purchased 3 of these pans and unfortunately someone used metal utensils and scratched my brand new skillets 🙁

    Reply

    1. Stoneware with a non-stick finish can be safe if it’s scratched, but it depends on the specific type of non-stick coating and the severity of the scratches. If the scratches are minor and only on the surface of the coating, then the pans are likely still safe to use. However, if the scratches are deeper and expose the underlying material, then it’s possible that harmful substances could leach into your food.

In general, it’s recommended to avoid using metal utensils with non-stick cookware, as this can cause scratches. Instead, use utensils made of softer materials like wood or silicone. If you’re unsure about the safety of your pans, it’s always best to err on the side of caution and replace them if necessary.
