The 15 Best Conservative News Sites on the Web (2024)

The 15 Best Conservative News Sites on the Web (1)

There are a lot of conservative sites and conservative news aggregators out there, but not all are remotely equal. Open borders and crony capitalism aren’t conservative, nor is Trump bashing or going after any other Western leaders that want to put their countries and the West first.

The truth is, there are fewer great sites out there than you think. Here’s the best conservative sites in fairly loose order:

(N.b. This was updated March 21st as one site was apparently shut suspended by the EU for impeding their free speech laws. Isn’t the EU great?)

  1. Taki’s get’s first place, simply winning for offering the best conservative writing on the web. Alexa ranking around 38K. Sure, it reads a little bit like the New Yorker, and really offers more opinion pieces than news. But for thoughtful, quality and importantly, humorous writing, Taki’s gets first place.

2. Breitbart is Breitbart. Alexa ranking swings between 25 -30! I can’t wait until they pass the NY Times. For a news service that is willing to report honestly and fearlessly on populism in Europe, the nationalist vs globalist war for power, and the immigration tsunami facing the West, I can only take off my hat. They’ve changed the paradigm for what is possible in the realm of conservative media.

3. Zero Hedge continually covers stories not being covered by other conservative sites. Alexa: 1,437. Since all authorship runs under the name of Tyler Durden (aka the Fight Club Tyler Durden) there is room for some very high level people to anonymously pen articles. Which, judging from the quality of the articles, happens frequently. Lots of great economic perspectives.

4. Freedomain Radio is Stefen Molyneux’s incredibly successful long running talk show/podcast. Alexa: 143K. The site links to his YouTube channel as well as radio show podcast, and he’s hugely successful on YouTube. He’s bright, good on camera and willing talk about some of the most important issues of the day. Thoughtful discussion about religion, immigration, family, politics. Great interviews, great guests, commercial free.

5. VDARE has been pounding away on the culture and immigration issue forever with insightful articles, not just about the US, but the West in general. Alexa: 79K. Peter Brimelow runs the show. Twenty years ago he wrote an article on immigration that deeply influenced Anne Coulter, who wrote a book on immigration that deeply influenced Trump to champion the most important issue to American voters. And now we have Trump, which makes conservatives pretty happy.

6. The Connor Post is a conservative news aggregator, and of course the new kid on the block. Alexa: 334K. Something like a European Drudge, only better. As well as providing original content, it links to the best Western news and analysis for Europe, Australia/New Zealand and North America. Also unique in that it links to the best Western press sources in each individual Western country, as well as populist polling.

7. The Gateway Pundit wins having the handle on positive and out of the way news bits. Alexa: 7,650. Seems like they always have something that others don’t, and strangely optimistic. They just got their White House press credentials. Which drives the MSM nuts.

8. Infowars is famous if not notorious, and honestly it could easily be number 3 as well as number 8. Alexa: 1770. I think sometimes they get a bad rap for being a little crazy and exploring far out themes, but they don’t say they want to be the next CNN. Edgy reporting, generally pro Western values, and willing to speak honestly on lots of topics.

9. The Last Refuge, or the Conservative Treehouse, or I Want You to Be Andrew Breitbart. Alexa; 27K. Confusing branding and positive coverage of Trump from the beginning, as well as in depth exploration of what’s really going on behind the scenes. Also a very robust online community.

10. American Thinker has a lot of stuff. Alexa 14K. They publish a variety of authors on an even wider variety of subjects. They’ll have highs and lows, but sometimes they’ll offer perspectives that aren’t getting picked up by the mainstream, or else they hack away at some things from an outsider’s perspective.

11. The Pickering Post may not be on your radar. Alexa 123K. Published by Larry Pickering out of Australia. He’s a cartoonist and blogger who has a lot of great perspectives on Ecology, Religion, Immigration and Australian Politics. Many fine people write for the Pickering Post as well.

12. The Unz Review, another gem. Alexa 36K. Wide variety of articles from great authors like Steve Sailor and John Derbyshire. Like Breitbart, the American Thinker and the Connor Post, based in California. Obviously something is going on in California, and not all of it bad. Willing to get into erudite themes like IQ, foreign policy, historical analysis. There’s a lot there.

13. Whale Oil Beef Hooked is Cameron Slater’s blog. Alexa 138K. He’s great at digging up stories and courting controversy, and it is maybe the best blog in New Zealand. If you’re wondering about the name, just try and say it in an Irish accent. Heavy on entertainment as well as politics. After Taki’s, the second best on this list for a laugh.

14. Pat Condell is an institution. Alexa rank 506K. But in all fairness the Alexa ranking doesn’t tell the whole story. His YouTube videos get zillions of hits. Like Stefan Molyneux, he’s an actor, and very articulate. No interviews, just fantastic monologues discussing the critical issues of the day. Unfortunately he hasn’t been posting as much of late as he used to, but his monologues are so timeless, anything he has done is worth watching.

15. To round it out with a great podcast, James Edward’s Political Cesspool. Who has time to read or watch anything anymore? Great perspectives, and importantly, funny.
